• Expression of Interest are invited for Provision of Consultancy Services on Digital Agriculture Bid closing date: Jan 07, 2024 3:00 PM Bid opening date: No Specific Opening Date Region: Addis Ababa Specific Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the leader of the Digital Agriculture Program, assuming overall responsibility for the direction and management of the program; mobilize needed financial, human or organizational resources for program execution. Lead stakeholders across both public and non-public sectors, the development and implementation of diagnostic activities, strategies, and policies for digital and ICT-based solutions and system in agriculture. Coordinate and lead the designing and implementation of digital agriculture strategy. Lead the implementation of the Ethiopia's Digital Agriculture and Extension Advisory Services (DAEAS) road map. Prepare proposal in collaboration with relevant teams and support partnership tearn in resource mobilization efforts. Prepare and manage the Digital agriculture program plan and budget; obtain approvals from senior level ATI management and monitor budget utilization against allocation. Provide high calibre support for Project Teams under the management of the program (such as electronic input voucher sales system (E-IVS); 8028 Farmers Hotline (IVR/SMS), National Market Information system and electronic voucher for input-output marketing; incubation of new digital solutions including Farmer Profiling, Rural Internet Kiosk, Digital Rural Finance application; and ensure team alignment, coordination, provide high performance and delivery on priority objectives. Manage and lead problem solving sessions and diagnostic studies to identify and design innovative digital and ICT solutions that can be utilized by Ethiopia's agriculture sector. Provide project management support to current/future ATI's ICT related projects following industry best practices. Engage in hiring of new members of the Digital Agriculture program, and provide high calibre management, coaching and support to ensure a high-performance team. Provide high quality, results-focused stakeholder management, and build a genuinely collaborative engagement with key Federal, Regional, Private Sector, Development Partners, Non-Profit and Bilateral partners in delivery of priority sector objectives. Regularly engage with other ATI teams to ensure that efforts by the Program team are aligned and supportive of other activities undertaken in the agricultural sector, especially in Ethiopia's Agricultural Commercialization Clusters Develop criteria for selecting, evaluating, and implementing commercial off-the- shelf, modifiable off-the-shelf, and government off-shelf tools and applications. Support projects design and implement intuitive user interfaces that would enable wide range of end users get valuable and actionable information. Serve as a thought leader to help the creation and delivery of digital strategies and programs to achieve ATI's overall goal and mission. Contribute to the development of an institutionalized knowledge base for the ATI Regularly report to the Deputy Director General or Director General on progress as appropriate on challenges and constraints of the program team activities.
