- Tenders are invited for Produce the Next Season of the Yegna TV Drama Yegna, Girl Effect's branded multi-media platform, established in Ethiopia in 2014, empowers adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) through engaging content, role-modeling, and storytelling. Meaning "Ours" in Amharic, Yegna unites young people to tackle life's challenges and pursue their aspirations. The platform includes a national TV drama, music, digital and social media channels, and club activities. Our content is research-driven and co-designed with our audience, ensuring authenticity and reliability. Change Objectives and Target Audiences The project aims to increase HPV vaccine uptake among 14-year-old girls in specific areas and routine immunization (RI) for 0-2-year-old children of AGYW caregivers. The primary targets are youth aged 13-29, focusing on AGYW aged 13-15, and caregivers of children under two. Secondary targets include parents of girls under 15, influential figures, and girls aged 9-13 eligible for HPV vaccination within five years. Role Description Girl Effect seeks a production company to produce the next season of the Yegna TV drama. We invite producers experienced in creating serialized drama in Ethiopia to submit proposals, including a plan, timeline, and budget for the new season. Suggestions to enhance the TV drama's quality and relevance for broader audiences are encouraged. The TV series should maintain an entertaining and engaging tone while aligning with the Yegna brand. Scope of Work The selected production partner will deliver 16 episodes, each half an hour long. Tasks include story and script creation, feedback incorporation, production schedule organization, equipment provision, scouting locations, casting, budget management, compliance with regulations and safety guidelines, and timely delivery of the finished product.
