Description:
Call for Proposals for Empowering Women through Hygiene and Nutrition Support in Rural Ethiopia. Scope of Work The selected firm will be responsible for one or more of the following components: 1. Procurement and Supply Chain Management Procure and distribute cooking oil to women-headed households to support improved family nutrition and reduce household food insecurity Procure soap noodles for distribution as part of household hygiene kits to promote cleanliness and disease prevention Procure 3.000 exercise books for adolescent girls participating in hygiene and health education sessions Ensure quality control, proper storage, and timely delivery of materials 2. Community Mobilization and Beneficiary Identification Partner with local women's associations and cooperatives for community outreach Conduct participatory beneficiary identification and targeting of women-headed households Collaborate with local schools and community leaders to reach adolescent girls and households effectively Ensure equitable and transparent distribution processes 3. Distribution and Outreach Distribute cooking oil to 5,000 women for family use, improving nutritional outcomes and food preparation capacity Distribute 15,000 bars of soap to women and families to promote handwashing and hygiene Distribute exercise books to 3,000 girls to support continued learning and participation in education Conduct follow-up visits to ensure resources are distributed equitably and used as intended 4. Monitoring & Evaluation Develop monitoring tools and conduct quarterly assessments Track number of households receiving cooking oil and soap Monitor quantity of resources distributed Measure changes in household food security and hygiene practices Collect beneficiary feedback on the use and impact of provided items Prepare quarterly progress reports and final evaluation report assessing overall project effectiveness, community satisfaction, and lessons learned
